Tobogganing
Storming down to the valley on a toboggan is a great winter fun for the whole family that you absolutely shouldn’t miss – particularly because quite a lot of mountain huts and rustic inns in Bruneck, Reischach and environs prepare their own toboggan runs and lend you a sledge for the descent.
Cross-country skiing
The cross-country courses in Reischach belong to the organisation „Dolomiti Nordic Ski“, the biggest cross-country course system with about 1,100 km of trails in South Tyrol. Moreover, our hotel is located right in the heart of this region and on our doorstep you can start a circa 14 km long cross-country ski run.
Snowshoe hiking
If you have ever tramped with snowshoes through the snow-covered mountain landscape of the Dolomites, far away from the hustle and bustle of the ski runs, you’ll know how much quiet and peace are waiting for you. Whether you would like to climb high mountains with snowshoes or wander through the valley floor, in any case you will discover isolated places in nature, which aren’t reachable in another way.
Ice skating
Ice skating and ice hockey have a long tradition in the Dolomites. Now and then even the Italian national team is practicing here. Of course, there are plenty of possibilities also for the general public which likes ice skating, ice dancing or ice disco: from the big ice rink in Bruneck to many nice natural ice rinks and securely frozen mountain lakes.
Horse-drawn sleigh rides
Can you imagine something more romantic than a sleigh ride drawn by haflinger horses through the snow-covered Dolomites under a glorious azure winter sky or under the starry firmament? Wrapped in warm blankets such a leisurely sleigh ride across meadows and mountain pastures is an experience for young and old alike. On request we book a wintry horse-drawn sleigh ride for you!
Paragleiding
Who says that you can go flying only during the warm summer months? Of course, for paragliding in winter you don’t need just a little bit of courage, but also sturdy shoes, warm clothes and good gloves. However, a flight over a landscape with a brilliant white covering of snow will surely be remarkably fascinating.
Après-Ski & entertainment
Après-ski in the ski lodges, which line the slopes of the skiing area Kronplatz, is notorious. Beyond that engaged tourism associations, hoteliers and landlords regularly organize traditional and funny events, such as the “Lockn” festival at Mt. Kronplatz or the snow shovel race in Hochpustertal.
Christmas market Bruneck

Every year anew the Christmas market of Bruneck turns the little town in a wintry fairytale scene that fascinates young and older visitors with romantically decorated wood houses and Christmassy smells. Without a doubt the Christmas market in Bruneck is one of the most beautiful ones in the Dolomites. With typical delicacies, dim lights and gentle Christmas songs it accompanies its guests through the Advent.
